Hey you,
Great post,--I mean about getting chewed out for putting up that
for sale notice on the list.
Maybe folks pay by the byte for every bit of mail that lands in
their box, which case, I understand the beef.
But this whining about off-topic posts, when, after all, a person
wouldn't be posting to this list if LW weren't at least on the backburner,
seems a little audacious. You weren't trying to sell your old Camaro or
your Beetle Records.
And as you pointed out, if the poster has the consideration to
put a clear subject line in his/her post, then we all (almost all) have
the option of a D key.
And hey, if we're so busy and important that we can't tolerate
the one-in-fifty off-topic post, we should unsubscribe and deal direct with
sources like LightSpeed.
(I could run on for seven or eight more paragraphs and really
peeve the princes, but I just wanted to say that I appreciated your ad,
and the consideration you showed by giving LWavers first shot at a system
obviously tailor made for this utility).
